India captain Rohit Sharma said that the think-tank will look to experiment with team combinations ahead of the all-important 50-over World Cup to be held at home later this year. At the toss event during the first ODI between India and West Indies, he also noted that the Indian camp need to strike a balance between experimenting with team combinations and ensuring that they would win games.
“We wanted to try few things and see where we are as a team. Keeping that in mind we want to head into the World Cup with a clear mind and we have few games before that. Result is also important and we want to try out some new things without compromising the result. All cricketers around the world need to keep this mind and take it forward,” said Rohit.
