Keacy Carty has been added to the West Indies squad for the final T20I against Australia, which will be played at Warner Park in St Kitts. He replaces Evin Lewis, who has returned home due to injury. Cricket West Indies confirmed the development via a media release.

Carty made his T20I debut for the West Indies in Bready against Ireland. He played a stunning innings on debut, coming in at No. 5 and scoring an unbeaten 49 off just 22 balls at a blistering strike rate of 222.72. His explosive knock included four fours and four sixes. In his short T20I career so far, the 28-year-old has featured in 21 matches, scoring 474 runs with a personal best of 83.

After clean-sweeping the Test series, Australia are on the verge of doing the same in the T20Is. The visitors won the first three matches comfortably, and although the Men in Maroon pushed the fourth game to the final over, Australia still clinched victory with four balls to spare.

Australia lead the series 4–0 with just one match remaining. The West Indies have been comprehensively outplayed by a second-string Australian side.

Carty replaces Evin Lewis who returned home due to an injury.

“Keacy Carty has joined the squad for the fifth and final T20I against Australia in St.Kitts.” said the CWI media release.
