West Indies Women leveled the ongoing three-match T20I series against South Africa Women with a six-wicket win in the second game at Cave Hill. With this result, the series is now tied 1-1. West Indies skipper Hayley Matthews delivered another brilliant all-round performance, earning the Player of the Match award.

After being asked to bat first, the visitors posted a modest total of 113/6 in 20 overs. Several batters got starts but struggled to time the ball well and accelerate the scoring. Nadine de Klerk scored 20 off 24 balls and tried to hold the innings together. South Africa kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were reduced to 79/6 in 15.1 overs.

West Indies completed the chase in 19.2 overs

However, a vital unbeaten seventh-wicket partnership of 34 runs between wicketkeeper-batter Karabo Meso (14* off 19) and Annerie Dercksen (21* off 17) helped them reach 113. For West Indies, Afy Fletcher and Karishma Ramharack took two wickets each, while Matthews and Jahzara Claxton picked up one apiece.

In reply, openers Hayley Matthews and Qiana Joseph gave West Indies a steady start, putting on 41 runs for the first wicket in 7.4 overs. A mini-collapse followed, and the hosts suddenly found themselves at 77/4 in 14.1 overs. But Matthews held firm at one end and found support in Jannillea Glasgow, guiding West Indies to victory with four balls and six wickets to spare. Matthews remained unbeaten on 63 off 56 balls, while Glasgow scored a calm 15 off 17*.
