Carlos Alcaraz has successfully advanced to the second week of Wimbledon 2025, sealing his spot in the last-16 with a four-set win over Jan-Lennard Struff on Friday. Following the match, Alcaraz engaged in a light-hearted post-match interview with Annabel Croft, where the discussion shifted to his off-court golf games with Andy Murray.

The BBC presenter casually brought up Alcaraz’s golf session with the British legend. Alcaraz smiled and quickly responded:

“He said to you to ask this question, right? He beat me that day. But then a few days later we played again and I beat him. So it’s 1-1.”

Croft, enjoying the banter, followed up by asking if there were plans for a rematch later in the tournament.

“Let’s see,” replied Alcaraz. “I love playing golf on my days off. I know he has a busy schedule, so I will try to set up a golf round again. Nine holes and see who wins. We are tied 1-1, so yeah, we have to play again.”

Murray didn’t miss the moment. He took to social media platform X, where he shared the video of the interview and playfully teased Alcaraz with a cheeky update:

“We played the deciding match this afternoon. Maybe ask him what happened after the next match 😉.”

The light-hearted exchange added a fun twist to the Wimbledon atmosphere, showcasing the camaraderie between the two stars away from the court.

Now, back to business—Alcaraz is set to face 14th seed Andrey Rublev today on Centre Court in a high-stakes clash for a place in the quarter-finals.
