WTC Final 2023: Winners will receive $1.6 million; runners-up to pocket $800,000

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the prize distribution for the World Test Championship 2021-23 cycle, allocating a total of $3.8 million to be divided among the nine participating teams. The prize money remains unchanged from the inaugural edition of the championship held from 2019 to 2021.

The victors of the ICC World Test Championship 2023 Final will receive an impressive prize of $1.6 million, while the runners-up will pocket $800,000. All nine teams will share the $3.8 million prize pool, with South Africa securing $450,000 for their third-place finish in the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 standings. England, who made a late surge to secure fourth position, will be rewarded with $350,000.

Sri Lanka, one of the contenders for a spot in the final during the thrilling conclusion, secured fifth place and will receive a prize of $200,000.

The remaining teams, namely: New Zealand (No. 6), Pakistan (No. 7), West Indies (No. 8), and Bangladesh (No. 9), will each be awarded $100,000.
