Yuvraj Singh is set to start a T10 cricket league in Canada. In fact, the league will also have a women’s competition. The tournament will be named Canada Super 60.
The World Cup winner, 43, has joined hands with Star 333 Sports Inc. to launch the league, the first edition of which is expected to be played in July.
“I’m thrilled to bring my leadership and vision to the Canada Super 60 League,” the former India all-rounder was quoted as saying. “The tournament can shape cricket’s future in this region by mixing local talent with international stars.”
The tournament will have eight teams, each comprising local players, international stars, and cricketers from Associate nations. Toronto will host the inaugural season.
Also, the Canada Super 60 League will be the first in North America to have men’s and women’s tournaments.
