New Zealand remain undefeated in the Zimbabwe T20I Tri-Series with a strong 60-run win over Zimbabwe in Harare on Wednesday, 24 July 2025. Kiwi spinner Ish Sodhi won the Player of the Match award for his four-wicket spell, conceding just 12 runs.
BlackCaps captain Mitchell Santner chose to bat first, and his decision proved right as New Zealand posted a strong total of 190/6 in 20 overs. Tim Seifert was the top scorer with a brilliant 75 runs off 45 balls. Rachin Ravindra also played an impressive knock, scoring 63 runs from 39 balls. Together, they added 108 runs for the second wicket. Michael Bracewell also added a quick unbeaten 26 at the end, at a strike rate of 162.50.
For Zimbabwe, Richard Ngarava was the best bowler, taking 4 wickets for 34 runs. Tinotenda Maposa also took 2 wickets, but the rest of the bowlers could not put the New Zealand batters under pressure.
In the chase, Zimbabwe lost wickets at regular intervals and were bundled out for 130 runs in 19 overs. Tony Munyonga scored 40 runs, opener Dion Myers made 22 runs, and Tashinga Musekiwa contributed 21 runs, but the lack of partnerships caused issues for them.
Along with Sodhi’s four wickets, Matt Henry picked up two wickets, while Zakary Foulkes, Will O’Rourke, and Michael Bracewell claimed one wicket each.
This was Zimbabwe’s fourth consecutive loss, as they finished the series without a single win. On the other hand, New Zealand will take on South Africa in the final on 26 July in Harare.
