South Africa have named five young and uncapped players in their squad for the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe. The team will take on Zimbabwe in a two-Test series at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. The first Test will be played from 28 June to 2 July, and the second from 6 to 10 July.

Lhuan-dre Pretorius, Lesego Senokwane, Codi Yusuf, Dewald Brevis, and Prenelan Subrayen have all been included in the squad, with none having yet made their Test debut.

Lhuan-dre Pretorius is emerging as a teenage star in South African cricket. He enjoyed a superb domestic season, scoring three centuries in the CSA 4-Day Series and finishing with an average of 72.66.

Lesego Senokwane also had a strong domestic campaign, scoring three centuries and amassing 559 runs in first-class cricket. Both Pretorius and Senokwane have already represented the South Africa A team.

Codi Yusuf is regarded as a promising fast bowler, having taken 23 wickets in the 4-Day Series.

Dewald Brevis, who recently impressed in the Indian Premier League, has been seen as a standout talent since his U-19 days. He ended the domestic season as the second-highest run-scorer.

Prenelan Subrayen caught the selectors’ attention with his recent performances against the West Indies A team.

Temba Bavuma will captain the side.
