Shreyanka Patil and Bharti Fulmali are back in India Women’s T20I plans. Both have been named in the 15-member squad for the upcoming T20I series in Australia. India Women are scheduled to play three T20Is (February 15-21), followed by three ODIs (February 24-March 1) and a pink-ball Test match (March 6-9).

With an eye on the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England later this year, the Australia tour will serve as a crucial preparation phase for the Women in Blue. However, squads for only the T20I and ODI series have been announced so far. The Test squad is yet to be named.

Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the side, and this will be her first ODI series as captain after guiding India to a maiden ODI World Cup title in 2025. Smriti Mandhana has been named her deputy.

In the T20I squad, Shreyanka is set for a comeback after a long injury layoff. Her last international appearance came in October 2024 during the previous edition of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. Since then, multiple injuries — including a fractured left fourth finger, shin splints, a wrist injury, and a fractured thumb — delayed her return. She is in action for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the ongoing WPL 2026 and picked up her maiden WPL five-wicket haul against Gujarat Giants (GG) on January 16.

Another notable inclusion is the return of Fulmali to the T20I set-up for the first time since 2019. She last played two T20Is that year and is currently representing GG in WPL 2026. Her impressive performances as a finisher appear to have earned her a recall. Against Mumbai Indians (MI), she scored an unbeaten 36 off 15 balls at a strike rate of 240.00, followed by 39 off 20 against RCB, striking at 195.00.
