Kolkata Knight Riders Kick Off Historic Trophy Tour Across India Ahead of IPL 2025

After their thrilling victory in the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), the reigning champions, are set to embark on a historic Trophy Tour. In celebration of their title win, the team will travel with the IPL trophy to cities across India, bringing the championship closer to their nationwide fanbase.

This is the first time in IPL history that a franchise is organizing a Trophy Tour outside its home city. The tour offers KKR fans across the country the unique opportunity to engage with the trophy and celebrate the team’s remarkable achievement.

The tour will kick off on February 14 in Guwahati and will visit nine cities before concluding in Kolkata on March 12 and 16. The cities covered will include Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Gangtok, Siliguri, Patna, Durgapur, and Kolkata. The initiative is designed to create unforgettable moments for the dedicated KKR supporters, who have consistently shown their loyalty to the team.

Alongside the trophy, fans can take part in fun cricket-themed games like Cricket Rock Paper Scissors and Cricket Pong. They will also have a chance to win exciting prizes and take home exclusive KKR memorabilia.

Binda Dey, Group CMO of Knight Riders Sports, expressed excitement for the tour, saying, “We’re thrilled to bring the Trophy Tour to our fans in Eastern India. Although we couldn’t hold a victory march in Kolkata last year, our fans are like family to us. This tour is our way of bringing the trophy back to them, celebrating the love and support they’ve given KKR.”
