Lewis and Joseph, both of whom have struggled with injuries in recent times, are the notable omissions.
As many as 11 players from the last T20 World Cup, which was held in the USA and Caribbean, have been retained in the squad for the global event.
Roston Chase, Jason Holder, Romario Shepherd and Rovman Powell return to the side after missing the Afghanistan series.
The Men in Maroon have been placed in Group C alongside England, Scotland, Nepal and Italy. They will begin their campaign on February 7 against Scotland at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
