Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Jemimah Rodrigues expressed her delight at her team’s efforts in their seven-wicket victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the 15th match of WPL 2026.

Speaking at the post-match presentation ceremony, Rodrigues said:

“A hundred percent of the credit goes to the team. I think one thing the team has consistently done is keep believing and keep executing what we planned. That makes my job easier as a captain. Today was really crucial for us, given the form RCB are in. But I think we just stuck to our plans. Sometimes, to win something, you have to lose, and today was one of those days. But it also speaks volumes about the character of the girls. I strongly believe a champion team is one that knows how to pick itself up after a fall, and that’s exactly what this team has done. I’m extremely, extremely proud of this team. We can enjoy the win today, but when we come back, it’s back to business: keep things simple, keep executing, keep sticking to our processes, and the results will take care of themselves.”

DC bowlers were superb, keeping constant pressure on the opposition batters from the start and never allowing the RCB innings to take off. Nandni Sharma took 3/26, while Marizanne Kapp, Chinelle Henry, and Minnu Mani claimed two wickets each, restricting RCB to 109 all out in their 20 overs.

In reply, DC initially struggled, losing both openers within the fourth over. However, Rodrigues and Laura Wolvaardt took responsibility for rebuilding the innings, putting together a 52-run partnership off 49 balls. Later, Kapp joined Wolvaardt in the middle, ensuring that DC reached the target without further loss. Wolvaardt remained unbeaten on 42.
