RCB’s Sayali Satghare had an impressive outing against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on January 17 in the WPL 2026.
Sayali picked up three crucial wickets and conceded 27 runs in three overs, which helped RCB dismantle Delhi’s batting line-up and register a comfortable eight-wicket win.
Sayali shared her reaction in a video posted by the franchise. “Still, it has not sunk in yet, but dream debut, definitely. Since IPL started in 2008, I have been an RCB fan, and when WPL started i always wished that someday I would get the chance to play for RCB,” Sayali said.
Sayali removed DC captain Jemimah Rodrigues and dismissed Marizanne Kapp on the very next ball. She later picked up the wicket of Lucy Hamilton.
Talking about the team atmosphere, she added, “It’s very fun actually, they have a young side, and everyone is gelling well with each other. We are enjoying everyone’s success and all the players are happy for the team.”
Sayali went unsold at the WPL 2026 auction but was later brought into the squad by RCB as a replacement for Ellyse Perry, who withdrew from the tournament for personal reasons.
RCB are at the top of the points table with four wins from four matches. They will next lock horns with Gujarat Giants on January 19 in Vadodara.
