Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Harmanpreet Kaur was full of praise for Nat Sciver-Brunt after her match-winning hundred against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the 16th match of WPL 2026.

Speaking at the post-match presentation ceremony, Harmanpreet said:

“Yeah, it was a really good game overall. Everyone contributed. Nat was outstanding, Matthews played beautifully, and it was good to see her get some runs, we were waiting for that to happen. It was a complete team effort. She (Sciver-Brunt) has been amazing for us. Whenever the team needs her, she’s always there, taking responsibility. We love watching her bat and love playing alongside her. It was great to see her get those runs.”

RCB won the toss and sent MI in to bat. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side lost their first wicket in the third over, after which Sciver-Brunt joined Hayley Matthews at the crease. The duo took responsibility and built a crucial partnership of 131 runs off just 73 balls, which was instrumental in taking MI to a total of 199/4 in their 20 overs. Sciver-Brunt looked unstoppable, scoring 100 off 57 balls, including 16 fours and one six, at a strike rate of 175.44. Matthews chipped in with 56 off 39 balls.

In reply, half of the RCB side were back in the pavilion within the powerplay, courtesy of Matthews, who picked up three wickets. Shabnim Ismail and Amelia Kerr also contributed with two wickets each, guiding MI to a 15-run victory. Sciver-Brunt was adjudged the Player of the Match.
