India’s young batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi continues his dominance in Youth ODIs. Playing against South Africa U19 in the second Youth ODI at Benoni, the left-hander produced another explosive knock and once again entered the record books. He played a true captain’s knock, helping India register an eight-wicket win.

Vaibhav smashed 68 runs off just 24 balls, striking at a staggering 283.33. His innings included 10 sixes and one boundary. With this effort, he has now hit 10 sixes in a Youth ODI innings for the second time in his career.

Remarkably, Vaibhav now occupies the top four spots in the list of most sixes in a Youth ODI innings. His nine sixes against England in Northampton in 2025 sit at fourth place. The 10 sixes against South Africa in Benoni stand at third, while another innings of 10 sixes against England in Worcester in 2025 occupies second spot.

At the top of the list are the 14 sixes he hammered against UAE in Dubai during the U19 Asia Cup 2025/26.

These numbers underline Vaibhav’s sheer dominance in youth cricket at just 14 years of age.

Under Vaibhav’s captaincy, India have already sealed the series with two back-to-back victories. The final Youth ODI of the series is scheduled to be played on January 7 in Benoni.
