India will tour South Africa for a T20I series in April as part of their preparation for the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. The five-match series will begin on April 17 and will be played in Durban, Johannesburg and Benoni.

The opening two matches will be played in Durban on April 17 and 19. The series will then move to Johannesburg, where the third and fourth T20Is will be played on April 22 and 25. The fifth and final match of the series will be played in Benoni on April 27.

As of today, this series is the last official international assignment scheduled for South Africa before the World Cup. In the build-up to this series, South Africa will play white-ball matches against Pakistan in February–March and against New Zealand in March–April.

India and South Africa have been placed in the same group for the World Cup, along with Australia, Pakistan and two qualifier teams. On November 2 in Navi Mumbai, India defeated South Africa in the 2025 World Cup final to secure their maiden ICC title.

The T20I series between India and South Africa is expected to play a crucial role in preparing both teams before they fly to England in June for the showpiece event.

2nd T20I – Durban – April 19

3rd T20I – Johannesburg – April 22
