India’s veteran batter Virat Kohli has climbed up to No. 2 in the latest ICC ODI batting rankings after a brilliant three-match ODI home series against South Africa. Virat has 773 rating points and stands just behind his teammate and former captain Rohit Sharma.

Virat was declared the Player of the Series after his outstanding performance, where he smashed back-to-back centuries followed by an unbeaten fifty, helping him score 302 runs in three matches. His runs helped India seal the series 2-1.

Rohit remained at the top of the ODI rankings after a solid series where he scored 146 runs with two half-centuries. Daryl Mitchell is third, and Ibrahim Zadran is in fourth position. India’s young ODI captain Shubman Gill, who did not feature in the South Africa series due to a neck injury, holds the fifth spot. KL Rahul, who was the stand-in captain for the series, has moved up to No. 12.

Spinner Kuldeep Yadav also climbed to No. 3 among ODI bowlers after taking nine wickets in the series. Rashid Khan holds the No. 1 spot in the ODI bowlers’ list.

In T20Is, Abhishek Sharma holds the No. 1 spot, while South Africa’s Dewald Brevis has reached No. 8 after his 22 runs in the opening match against India. Among bowlers, Varun Chakravarthy continues to rule the top spot, and Axar Patel has climbed to No. 13.

In Test cricket, Australia’s Mitchell Starc has moved up to No. 3 among bowlers after his career-best performance in the Ashes. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah sits on top of the table. Among batters, Joe Root continues his domination with 898 rating points.
