The United Arab Emirates (UAE) have announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 on January 30. Muhammad Waseem will once again lead the squad in this global tournament.

All-rounder Dhruv Parashar and opener Mayank Kumar have been recalled to the squad. They have replaced Basil Hameed and Rahul Chopra. The changes were made after Hameed and Chopra failed to make an impact in the first T20I against Ireland, as both were dismissed for single-digit scores.

Parashar is expected to bolster the squad with his experience, having played 32 T20Is. He also left a strong impression against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025. Mayank, on the other hand, is expected to add stability at the top of the order, as he was also part of the Rising Star T20 Asia Cup in November. Along with Waseem, Alishan Sharafu and Junaid Siddique will bring valuable World Cup experience from the 2022 edition, where Siddique was the team’s highest wicket-taker.

Former India team manager Lalchand Rajput is the head coach of the UAE. Former Pakistani pacer Yasir Arafat has joined the coaching setup as the fast-bowling coach, while Zimbabwe’s Stanley Chioza is the fielding coach.

Placed in Group D alongside Afghanistan, Canada, New Zealand and South Africa, the UAE will play warm-up matches against Nepal and Italy in Chennai. The Muhammad Waseem-led UAE will begin their World Cup campaign against New Zealand on February 10.

Squad: Muhammad Waseem (C), Alishan Sharafu, Aryansh Sharma (WK), Dhruv Parashar, Haider Ali, Harshit Kaushik, Junaid Siddique, Mayank Kumar, Muhammad Arfan, Muhammad Farooq, Muhammad Jawadullah, Muhammad Zohaib, Rohid Khan, Sohaib Khan, Simranjeet Singh.
