India Women Test Squad (PC: BCCI Women)

Indian women’s selection committee announced the squads for the Test against Australia Women and the upcoming ACC Rising Star Asia Cup on January 24. Five players have earned their maiden Test call-ups, which shows India are giving opportunities to young talents on the big stage.

For the Test match in Perth, starting on March 6, India named a 15-member squad which will be led by Harmanpreet Kaur, with Smriti Mandhana as her deputy. Pratika Rawal, Amanjot Kaur, Kranti Gaud, Vaishnavi Sharma and Sayali Satgharewill feature in their maiden Test match. Rawal returns to the national setup after missing the ODI World Cup semi-final in 2026 due to an ankle injury.

Regular players like Shafali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues are also included. Harleen Deol earned a recall after 2023. Richa Ghosh and Uma Chetry have been named as wicketkeeping options, with Chetry waiting for her first Test appearance.

Uma Chetry has replaced injured G Kamalini also in both the ODI and T20I squad for the Australia tour. Kamalini suffered injury in the ongoing WPL 2026, playing for Mumbai Indians (MI).

Deepti Sharma, Sneh Rana and Vaishnavi Sharma will manage the spin department. Renuka Thakur, Kranti Gaud and Amanjot Kaur are the pacers in the squad.

Alongside the Test squad, India also announced a 15-member India A team for the ACC Rising Star Asia Cup in Thailand, scheduled from February 13 to 22. Radha Yadav will captain the side, which includes promising players like Vrinda Dinesh, Anushka Sharma and Nandni Sharma. Meanwhile, Deeya Yadav and Mamta M are still awaiting fitness clearance. Both Deeya and Mamta suffered injuries while playing for Delhi Capitals (DC) in the WPL 2026.
