Sanjay Manjrekar, the former India cricketer, has commended MS Dhoni, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper, for his skillful management of the team, while struggling with a knee injury. Dhoni has featured in all eight of the team’s matches this season.
“MS Dhoni is a clever cricketer, said Manjrekar on Star Sports. “He knows his limitations. We are seeing a new avatar of him this season. Earlier, he used to manage the team. This year, he’s also managing himself.”

Dhoni has mostly batted at No.8, and has managed a strike-rate of close to 200 while doing so. He has also coaxed fine performances from a largely inexperienced bowling line-up.
Under Dhoni’s leadership, Chennai have five victories from eight matches, and currently occupy fourth spot in the points table.
