India’s veteran star Virat Kohli came up with a cheeky reply to Arshdeep Singh in a fun video made by the pacer after India sealed a 2-1 victory over South Africa in Visakhapatnam. The clip quickly went viral among fans, where the duo was seen laughing about Kohli’s missed century in the series decider.
The video was posted by Arshdeep on his Instagram, where he jokingly told Virat, “Paaji, run kam rehgaye, century aajpakki thi waise,” meaning the target was small, otherwise Kohli would have hit another century. Kohli replied with a smile, “Toss jeet gaye, nahi toh teri bhi pakki thi dew mein,” teasing Arshdeep that if they had not won the toss, he might have conceded 100 runs because of the dew.
Kohli was in action in Vizag after scoring two consecutive centuries in the first two ODIs. He also remained unbeaten on 65 runs in the series decider. Kohli was named the Player of the Series, scoring 302 runs in three matches at an average of 151.00.
Earlier, South Africa posted a decent total of 270 runs with the help of Quinton de Kock’s 106 and Temba Bavuma’s 48. But India’s bowlers Prasidh Krishna and Kuldeep Yadav took four wickets each, which stopped South Africa from getting a bigger total.
While chasing, Rohit Sharma (75) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (unbeaten 116) gave India a brilliant start with a 155-run opening stand. And Kohli’s unbeaten knock finished the match, helping India win by nine wickets.
